Station Eleven ventures from a thriving modern world, one which we all currently live in and try to understand, to a world of emptiness. A world after an epidemic where survival is mandatory and luxury has fallen by the wayside. All we take for granted has disappeared. The way in which Emily St. John Mandel has intersected the lives of the characters in Station Eleven is flawless.
